Glasgow based multi-instrumentalist and producer Nathan Syed-Tollan has just dropped the hypnotic new track 'autumn grieves' under his Stolen Content moniker. Unlike previous singles, 'Groundbreak Heartache' and 'Welcome Home', which feature his croonerish vocals, 'autumn grieves' is a woozy instrumental, a steady bass groove that bobs gently over swelling reverbed chords and subtle field recordings; its a deeply atmospheric, half-submerged beat that would be a gift to any rapper but is textured and deep enough as it is to stand wordless. Nathan explains the writing process and the track's intention/lack of, "In the absence of lyrics or context, I want the listener to be able to place themselves within the music. When making the track I didn’t have any clear idea of what I was wanting to do or how I wanted it to sound. Listening back I’ve found myself creating meaning for different elements of the songs. I like thinking of the different instruments as being a cast of characters. For me the kick drum is a heartbeat."-Toby Evans-Jesra
